Kloos played for Lakeville South High School from 2007 to 2012. In 2011–12, his senior season, he helped his team make a Minnesota State Hockey Tournament appearance. [1] He also scored 103 points (41G, 62A) in 31 games in his final season with the Lakeville South Cougars. [1] In 2012 he was also named Minnesota Mr. Hockey. [2]
Malinski played high school hockey for Lakeville South High, graduating in 2017. He served as team captain during his senior season and helped the team make an appearance in the state tournament. While attending Lakeville North High School in Minnesota, Skjei played quarterback on the varsity football team and was also a member of the golf team.
