Elmendorf is a city in Bexar County, Texas, United States. It is part of the San Antonio—New Braunfels metropolitan statistical area. Its population was 1,862 at the 2020 census. [4] It was founded in 1885, and named after Henry Elmendorf, a former mayor of San Antonio, and a German-Texan. [5]
