Grayson County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky.As of the 2020 census, the population was 26,420. [1] Its county seat is Leitchfield. [2] The county was formed in 1810 and named for William Grayson (1740–1790), a Revolutionary War colonel and a prominent Virginia political figure.

Leitchfield is situated between Rough River Lake to the north and Nolin River Lake to the south. According to the United States Census Bureau , the city has a total area of 10.9 square miles (28.2 km 2 ), of which 10.8 square miles (28.1 km 2 ) is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km 2 ), or 0.38%, is water.
