We welcome submissions of previously unpublished poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. By “unpublished,” we mean work that has not appeared in another journal or in any book, chapbook, anthology, or online. We accept submissions of poetry and fiction from October 1 to June 15.
Submissions are closed during the summer and will reopen on October 1. Due to administrative costs, we need to charge a small fee for submissions. We have tried to make this fee comparable to what it would have cost to send paper submissions.

After many years in print and reading hard copy submissions of manuscripts only, the Chicago Quarterly Review has embraced this online submission system. It is eco friendly. To operate this system, we've now come to grips with charging a small fee of $3 for submissions.
