In the same area is Trm Automotive and Diesel Service, ph 281-487-3895. A shop diagnosed my buddies 2001 with bad injectors....Trm said no and found two broken rocker arms. Saved a load of cash.... Both of these shops are near the beltway off of Spencer in Pasadena.

Just doesn't make sense to have a thread about 6.0 specialization in the 6.4 Aftermarket forum. Jeff Dodd.

From what I hear they do alot of 7.3l & 6.0l & Cummins work. All the way from basic stuff to high preformance stuff. Heard they had a 70s Ford high boy on rockwells that was suppost to get a Cummins.

zf5 grinding gears. A few months ago I swapped from auto to a s47 zf5. The zf had 300k on it and has been grinding from the 2-3 up shift and the 3-4 down and 3-2 down since I installed it. I have put 7k miles on it like this being carful to shift real slow on the 2-3 and 4-3 but it is basically impossible to shift into 2nd over 5mph.
Early '99 4R100s will swap in with NO problems. If it is a late '99 or newer 4R100 you need to change the orifice that controls the torque converter lockup clutch. If you don't change it the lockup will SLAM on every time. You'll hate it. Near the bottom click on "Instructions."
