Wimbledon College is a government-maintained, voluntary-aided, Jesuit Catholic secondary school and sixth form for boys aged 11 to 19 in Wimbledon, London. The college was founded in 1892 "for improvement in living and learning for the greater glory of God and the common good ."
[8] [9] Merton College merged with South Thames College in 2009. It should not be confused with Merton Sixth Form College, a nearby separate institution that was formed in 1990 and later became Phoenix Sixth Form College before closing down. [10]

Hall School Wimbledon (HSW) is a co-educational non-selective independent day school in Wimbledon, London, for children aged 5 to 16, with plans to introduce a Sixth Form in September 2023. The school was founded in 1990, by former Headmaster Timothy Hobbs, with only nine pupils.

Those who completed their sixth form either went to university or to teachers colleges but some went to art school having been well taught by Miss Nicholson. [3] It was recognised officially by London County Council. In the 1970s, when selective education was abolished in London, the school became a comprehensive school.
