Morningside is an incorporated town in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. [3] Per the 2020 census, the population was 1,240. [4] The town developed with the establishment of nearby Andrews Air Force Base and the federal Census Bureau. The government of the town is led by a mayor and town council.
The call letters were a play on the word "bus", as WBUZ broadcast background music for a Prince George's County, Maryland based bus company. [5] In May 1953, WBUZ-FM raised power to 6,300 watts and its city of license was changed to Oakland, Maryland (near District Heights; [6] not the Western Maryland town).
