Right clicking on terraserver in the Processes tab of TaskManager and clicking Set Affinity, I forced it to use one of the untaxed cores. Son's computers returned to full speed. It might be worth looking to see if this is the cause of your issues. I've not had a full look through the forum yet to see if this issue has been found by anyone else.
