Pink Tape is the second studio album by South Korean girl group f(x).The album was released on July 29, 2013, by SM Entertainment. Pink Tape is the first studio album by f(x) in over two years, the last being the repackage of their first album Hot Summer in 2011, and their first Korean release in over a year since 2012's Electric Shock.
On July 17, SM Entertainment announced that f(x) would be returning to the Korean music market with their second studio album Pink Tape on July 28, 2013, after a year's absence. [3] On the same day, the agency also released a photo teaser of Krystal on the official f(x). [4] On July 18, SM released photos teasers of Victoria and Amber. [5]
On July 29, the group released their second full-length album Pink Tape with the lead single "Rum Pum Pum Pum", and held a showcase titled "f(x) Music Spoiler - Play! Pink Tape" through Naver Music. The album was a success both in Korea and the US, peaking at number one on Billboard ' s K-pop Hot 100 and World Albums Charts [ 26 ] and the Gaon ...
Their album Pink Tape also garnered widespread critical acclaim with became the only K-pop album to be featured on US music channel Fuse's "41 Best Albums of 2013" [3] [4] and was named the "Greatest K-pop Album of the 2010s" by Billboard. [5] f(x) debuted in Japan with released the Japanese versions of their singles "Hot Summer". [6]
