The protagonist in both the series were bush pilots operating a flying boat. The name of the plane in TS was Seaduck, in TotGM it was Cutter's Goose. Their is a bar in both the TV series and in the animation which is meeting place for all the pilots of the area. The bar in both was run by a guy named Louie who was a good friend of the protagonist.
