Estelle Doheny Eye Institute Alfredo Arrigo Sadun (born October 23, 1950) is an American ophthalmologist, academic, author and researcher. He holds the Flora L. Thornton Endowed Chair and is chief of ophthalmology at Doheny Eye Centers [ 1 ] and Vice-Chair of Ophthalmology at UCLA .
She is currently the Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology and Director of the Stein Eye Institute at University of California, Los Angeles. [1] [2] During her tenure at UCLA, Coleman was the first director of the Hoskins Center for Quality Eye Care and was involved in the development of the IRIS (Intelligent Research in Sight) Registry.
Between 2004-2007, she held a joint appointment at Second Sight Medical Products LLC and the Doheny Eye Institute and Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute at USC. In 2007, she moved to the Department of Psychology at the University of Washington, where she was promoted to full professor in 2014.
