Odds are they weight it anyways. Then when it comes time to print your label, save that picture(the label) and email it as an attachment to the shipper. Really easy. They also offer a mobile shipping option, email it to your shipper, they then take the email to a FedEx store and ask them to print the label out.
but there is nothing against shipping liquid. My homemade numbing anal lube ships fine with no questions or concerns from fedex/ups/usps employees. 7. put a cut up 4 pak on each can lid and put some pennies in between. makes enough noise to cover any sound...otherwise just ship USPS and you'll never have a problem.
Alternatively, if you trust the person you can just give them your Fedex # and they can bill to it directly. (Note I probably wouldn't do this for a random LIF, but if you ever have a friend/family send you something, or a trustee, etc, it makes it pretty easy)
A FedEx store is no difference since a truck would stop by at the end of the day to grab the boxes like they would from any drop-off location and bring to the main shipping hub. The most common reason for lost package is label falling off. Make you secure the label by taping over it completely. The pouch sometimes falls off.
DrivinNCryin Initiate ( 0) Aug 21, 2017 South Carolina. I had an "exception" happen to me a year ago shipping a box to WI from SC. The Fedex website said "exception-alcohol. return to sender" Turns out one of the cans I shipped somehow opened and spewed everywhere causing the box to leak, even with the bag around it.
If the box is approx a standard 750mL case or smaller, you should be fine shipping with lowered weights, as long as you aren't shipping cement. Most of my 6 bottle trades are 6 pounds and my 12 bottle trades are 10 pounds, even with double boxes, extra sheets of cardboard, and packaging material.
I decided to just ship them all fedex instead of going to both places. I created 3 shipments and on all three selected to have the label emailed to me. Two of them got emailed to me, the third didn't. I received the email receipts for all 3. I know how to find the labels on the UPS site but can't find them on FedEx.
So my partner in a BIF sent me a package which appears to be 49 lbs from the tracking number (must be a NICE box!). I believe the label fell off the package so it is now sitting in limbo. We called FedEx ground trace and now they keep calling me wanting to know what is in the box in order to match up tracking with an unlabeled box.
When I log into my account, it won't accept a credit card for payment. I logged out and tried creating a one-time shipment and it says FedEx "can't process your request at this time" or something to that effect. This has been going on since yesterday morning. Anyone else experiencing this? #1 pmoney, May 8, 2013.
So, I shipped a buddy two bottles via FedEx. It was packed impeccably. Label printed perfectly, clear label holder, the works. it arrived at the Wheeling IL distro center, and strangely sat there for a few days. Then the tracking said “label replaced -unscannable” which was bullshit.
