Dedham (/ ˈ d ɛ d ə m / DED-əm) is a town in, and the county seat of, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States.Located on Boston's southwestern border, the population was 25,364 at the 2020 census.
The Theatre opened in March 1930 and for 40 years was used for films and live performances. In May 1974 the theater was divided into red and blue cinemas, where a cement wall divided the once open auditorium. The building was then closed in 1998 and was put up for sale. In March 2003 the Soo Theatre Project Inc. purchased it for $85,000.
