Motijheel (Bengali: মতিঝিল, romanised: Motijhil) is an elevated metro station of the Dhaka Metro Rail's MRT Line 6. This station is located in the area of Dilkusha towards Motijheel . It commenced operations on 5 November 2023.
To the south, it passes through Gopibag Bazaar, Box Culvert Road, and Rail Crossing alongside the canal, ending at Atish Deepankar Road. Towards the east, it aligns with the western side of Atish Deepankar Road along the railway station's boundary, continuing through Khilgaon Railway Crossing to Box Culvert Road Crossing.
The line is entirely elevated and currently has 16 stations operational in service between Uttara North and Motijheel. [3] The line was built as a proposal of a mass rapid transit system in Dhaka by the Review Committee of the Strategic Transport Plan and the Urban Traffic Formulation Study.

Shapla Square in Dhaka. Shapla Square (Bengali: শাপলা চত্বর, Shapla Chottor) is a huge sculpture at the heart of Motijheel near the center of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. It depicts a Shapla (water lily, the species Nymphaea nouchali), the national flower of Bangladesh. The sculpture is surrounded by a fountain. [1]
