The University of Wales Press (Welsh: Gwasg Prifysgol Cymru) was founded in 1922 as a central service of the University of Wales. [2] The press publishes academic journals and around seventy books a year in the English and Welsh languages on six general subjects: history, political philosophy and religious studies, Welsh and Celtic studies, literary studies, European studies and medieval studies.

Students at UWTSD are able to access the RBLA at most times it is open and staffed; as with members of the general public, access to materials is provided on request. [22] [23] The Special Collections are also used for university teaching; students are able to work on projects and dissertations using special collections materials. [24]
The school was formerly housed in the Bute Building of the university's Cathays Park campus. In September 2018 it moved to 2 Central Square, north of Cardiff Central railway station and adjacent to New Broadcasting House, the headquarters of BBC Cymru Wales. The Cardiff University Students' Union is a student-run organisation aiming to promote student interests within the university and further afield. The Cardiff University Students' Union building is near Cathays Park, next to Cathays railway station. It has shops, a night club and the studios of Xpress Radio and Gair Rhydd, the student newspaper.
Cardiff and Vale College (or Coleg Caerdydd a’r Fro) is now one of the largest colleges in Wales. [4] The college took control of the Cardiff International Sports Stadium from July 2015 on a peppercorn rent to Cardiff Council. [5] In 2015 a new main campus costing £45 million was opened in Dumballs Road, Cardiff, to cater for 4000 students.
