I have a CM2050V and can access the 192.168.100.1 address using either Firefox or Edge in Windows 10. The router in between the two is a Netgear R7800 with a set IP address of 10.0.0.1.
Just resets the Modem and has it re-handshake with ISP services and clears out any odd modem issues. I would wire connect one wired PC to the back of the modem with out the router online and reset, then check web page access at 192.168.100.1.

But when a device on the LAN attempts to access 192.168.100.1 then the firewall will perform outbound NAT and use the 192.168.100.100 WAN address instead of whatever was assigned by DHCP (which could be nothing if the modem is still booting up).
The server at 192.168.100.1 is taking too long to respond. The PC's Gateway is 192.168.2.1 and when I navigate to it I see the router's login page.
