[1] Counting began after conclusion of voting at 22:00 the same day and the results for almost all constituencies were declared in the early hours of 5 July. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's Conservative Party lost over 240 seats and its 14-year long tenure in government.
The election was fought under the boundaries created by the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies.
