Pontiac (/ ˈ p ɒ n (t) i æ k / PON-(t)ee-ak) is a city in and the county seat of Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. [3] Located roughly 26 miles (41.8 km) northwest of downtown Detroit, Pontiac is part of the Detroit metropolitan area, and is variously described as a satellite city or suburb of Detroit.
The auto age enveloped Pontiac in the early 1900s. The Oakland Motor Car Company was founded in 1907 and became a part of General Motors Corp., which was soon Pontiac's dominant firm. [10] In the 1950s, Oakland County's population boomed as the Detroiters began migrating to the suburbs.

Detroit Assembly (also known as Detroit Cadillac, Cadillac Assembly or Clark Street Assembly) was a General Motors automobile factory in Detroit, Michigan on Clark Street, south of Michigan Avenue (U.S. Route 12). It began operations in 1921 and Cadillac bodies were supplied by Fleetwood Metal Body in 1921 after Fisher Body assumed operations.

Adray's was the name of two appliance and electronics retailers, one a single store and the other a chain of stores, both based in Southern California. The independent store at 1809 W. Chapman Avenue in the City of Orange had been fully owned by Lou Adray since 1971 when he bought out its founders, his brother Andy and their cousin Eddie Aladray.
In 2002, the store moved to Mercury Street and then Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in 2013. [4] It moved again to a different building on the same street in 2024.
