San Francisco de Asís Parish (Spanish: Parroquia de San Francisco de Asís) is a Catholic parish church in San Francisco Coacalco, in the municipality of Coacalco de Berriozábal, State of Mexico. [1] It is dedicated to Francis of Assisi, whose feast is on 4 October. [1] The church was opened c. 1580 and was rebuilt c. 1700. [2]
The municipal seat is San Francisco Coacalco and the municipality is named after Felipe Berriozábal (1829–1900), a Mexican politician and military leader. The word Coacalco comes from the Nahuatl coatl (snake), calli (home) and -co (at), meaning "at the house of the snake", a name that was first recorded in 1320.

Berriozábal is a city and municipality in the Mexican state of Chiapas, in southern Mexico.It covers an area of 352 km 2.. In 2010, the municipality had a total population of 43,179, [2] up from 28,719 in 2005.
