World B. Free (born Lloyd Bernard Free; December 9, 1953) [1] is an American former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1975 to 1988. Free was known as the " Prince of Mid-Air ", " Brownsville Bomber ", and most often as " All-World ".
In 1987, Lloyd became the first Rutgers athlete to have his jersey retired. [2] After basketball, Lloyd went on to become a successful businessman. He was the president and CEO of Data East, Incorporated before becoming the chairman and CEO of Mindscape, a publisher of consumer software. [2]
