Meconopsis napaulensis, the Nepal poppy or satin poppy, is a plant of the family Papaveraceae. The plant contains beta-carbolines , which (in doses high enough) act as a psychedelic drug . However, its phytochemistry remains predominantly unstudied.

It is found in the Himalayan region from Ladakh Kashmir to Sikkim at an elevation of 2700–4500 m [citation needed] and in Nepal, found abundantly between 3500 and 4800 m. It has been reported that Picrorhiza has been harvested to near extinction. [2] [3]
Meconopsis autumnalis, the Nepalese autumn poppy, is a yellow-flowered Himalayan poppy belonging to series Robustae, and is endemic to the Ganesh Himal range of central Nepal, where it was discovered in 2008 on a research expedition from the University of Aberdeen. [1]
It petiole is 2 centimetres (0.79 in) long while its peduncle is only 75 centimetres (30 in) long with a free part being 9 centimetres (3.5 in). The plant spathe is green in colour and have cylindrical tubes which are 6–7 centimetres (2.4–2.8 in) by 1.5 centimetres (0.59 in) and are sometimes stripeless.
Nepal is a mountainous country, and if this plant is grown on the mountains, it is vital to ensure that erosion does not occur. This plant itself would only minimally contribute to erosion as taking nutrients out of the soil exacerbates erosion, but the farming practices such as cutting down trees to clear land would contribute to soil erosion .
Clerodendrum chinense, called the glory bower, is a species of flowering plant in the genus Clerodendrum. It is native to Nepal, the eastern Himalayas, Assam, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, south-central and southeast China, Southeast Asia, and Malesia.
