The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's (OECD) Development Assistance Committee (DAC) is a forum to discuss issues surrounding aid, development and poverty reduction in developing countries. It describes itself as being the "venue and voice" of the world's major donor countries. [1]

[10] In its early stage, this sought to create a framework for monitoring the Rome commitments. It also hosts the DAC Evaluation Resource Centre (DEReC), a user-friendly online database containing a significant number of evaluation reports by all major bilateral donors and seven multilateral institutions. Its work is supported by a secretariat, housed in the Development Co-operation Directorate of the OECD in Paris, France.
