Mustang is powered by a Nissan RB26 engine with around 350 rear-wheel horsepower. A classic Ford Mustang fastback was the star of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, but it is one of the least-loved Mustang movie cars of all time. That is because this classic pony car was powered by a Nissan Skyline engine. In the movie, an American gearhead ...
It’s hard to imagine that Criterion has done a worse transfer than what we get for their original 1999 DVD edition of Seijun Suzuki’s Tokyo Drifter (sadly they have.) Presented in the aspect ratio of about 2.35:1 on a single-layer disc the non-anamorphic picture we get truly is ghastly. It’s laced with artifacts of all sorts, from obvious ...
Picture 8/10. Criterion gives Seijun Suzuki’s out-there Yakuza flick Tokyo Drifter a much needed upgrade on Blu-ray, presenting the film in its original aspect ratio of 2.35:1 on this dual-layer disc in a new 1080p/24hz transfer. The original DVD from 1999 was a mess; I assume it was a poorly done port from their original Laserdisc edition.

Premiere, Tokyo, Sept 2008 is what I assume was the introduction to the premiere of the film in Tokyo, this edited together sequence running 15-minutes. Picture 8/10. Criterion’s original (now long out-of-print) DVD edition for Kon Ichikawa’s Tokyo Olympiad presents the film on a dual-layer disc in its original aspect ratio of 2.35:1. The picture has been enhanced for widescreen televisions and comes from a high-definition restoration scanned from a 35mm low-contrast print.
"Before I was old enough to walk, my dad was taking me to various types of racing events, from local drag racing to the Daytona 500," says Patrick Rall, a lifetime automotive expert, diehard Dodge fan, and respected auto journalist for over 10 years.
Picture 8/10. Yasujiro Ozu’s Tokyo Story makes its North American Blu-ray debut on Criterion’s dual-format release. The transfer comes from a new 4K restoration, delivered here in a high-definition 1080p/24hz transfer. It’s presented on a dual-layer disc (for both the DVD and Blu-ray) in its original aspect ratio of about 1.33:1.
We’ll go over two solutions to get you hydro-handbrake activation in your car. The first solution is to tie into the rear brake line of the brake master cylinder. Once you mount your hydro-brake into your car, you’ll remove the rear brake line from the master cylinder to the rear calipers. You’ll route a new line into the cabin to the ...
