I just bought an Asus ROG Strix 670E-E motherboard. As far as I can understand, I am expected to install Armoury Crate to control the led strips connected to the motherboard. However that software installs a bunch of apps and services I have no need of, creating bloat. I have tried OpenRGB but it causes a hard crash on this motherboard.
Heres the link to Corsair’s software downloads page. There should be a dropdown list on the page to select a category, select "CORSAIR iCUE" and the last result should be titled "CORSAIR RGB MEMORY PLUGIN FOR ASUS AURA SYNC."
Asus Support Website no longer provides Asus Aura versions older than the most recent 3 versions. As most of us have found in the past year, these versions just don't work when you install them from a clean install of Windows. I scraped through my old download folders and found some older versions that have breathed life back into my RGB setup.
Launch task scheduler and press create task on the right. Give a name to the task. Under triggers choose 'at log on of any user' and 'delay task for' 2 minutes. So, my next attempt would be as follows: Open Task manager, go to Startup tab, disable everything. Restart computer (always with Windows Button > Power > Restart, never Shut Down) Task manager > End every process and service related to Asus Aura/Armoury Crate. Download both Revo Uninstaller and the Armoury Crate uninstaller.
When I built my PC last year, I put together an Asus mobo (X570-E Gaming) with a Gigabyte GPU (3080 Aorus Master). After installing ASUS's Armoury Crate software and getting the mobo/case/fan/RAM RGB lights working with Aura Sync, I then added Gigabyte Aorus Engine & RGB Fusion software, but RGB Fusion couldn't find my GPU at all, no matter ...
I am working on building a core build with NZXT N7 B550 and found an article. Going for White / RGB build with NZXT case, fans, and later an AIO just to have it all sync up with the CAM software. Will be ordering a Asus aura sync compatible memory for the build. Hopes this helps your decision. Once all parts arrived I will be testing out and ...

I was able to set the colors for the components I have easily enough, but after a while the UX felt a bit sluggish. OpenRGB seems to work fairly well with ASRock and many components, but I can't say it's my favorite piece of software either. Good RGBA software really shouldn't be this hard. 1. RevLee69.
