Jan 3, 2018. #15. For jacketed bullets the .001" is insignificant (and yep, depending on the manufacturer .429" and .430" are most common). SAAMI spec. for the groove diameter of handguns is .429". It's only .0005" difference in engagement on the OD of the bullet and for the 44, even at magnum velocities the difference ain't enough to worry about.
243. Oct 5, 2017. #1. I've been thinking about buying a bullet mold for a .357 magnum revolver. Wanted 158 grain bullets or heavier. Was considering a lyman #358 429 mold throwing 170 grain bullets. Or A Seco Redding #354 throwing 180grain bullets. The lyman #358 429 was my original choice, but just a little searching around lead me to some ...

East TN. Oct 31, 2016. #6. A 41 Magnum is on the list sometime down the road but mostly for having fun working with a new cartridge. Since most 41 Magnums are built on a 44 Magnum frame, there really is not much advantage. A 41 Magnum S&W L frame would be interesting and might have some advantages over the Model 69 44 Magnum.
MPro-7 works GREAT on powder/carbon fouling in any gun - rifle, pistol, or Shotgun. However is doesn't touch copper fouling, nor does it breakdown lead.
The way the power plant of a repeating Daisy BB gun like the Red Ryder is designed, using a nitro-piston would be difficult. A way would be needed to attach an air tube to the front of the piston in order for it to work as a repeater. Maybe making a BB gun that was a single shot like the model 499 might be more practical.
