Biography. Mooge was born in Hargeisa, Somaliland, and was a member of the Eidagale clan of the larger Isaaq Somali clan. He and his brother Ahmed Mooge Liibaan started singing and composing Somali literature at a young age. He worked as a school teacher before starting his music career.
