At the time, Singapore was the first country in Southeast Asia to have Michelin-starred restaurants and stalls, and was one of the four states in general in the Asia-Pacific along with Japan and the special administrative regions (SAR) of Hong Kong and Macau.
It later won "Restaurant of the Year" at the same awards in 2018. [24] The restaurant got its first accolades by the Michelin Guide in 2016, receiving two stars.
