All of my Accurate Molds, with one exception, are aluminum and cut for revolvers. They arrive almost out of thin air, and after ultrasonic cleaning and preheating, start to drop a lot of perfect bullets fast. I like to cut the sprue with my gloved hand, and about half will drop from the mold upon opening.
Accurate Molds #51-450M, This is My Version of the Bullshop Bullet, in the Beginning i sent an Original Bullshop .504-460 To Accurate Molds and had Tom Duplicate it, I went with an Aluminum Mold in the Beginning, The Bullet ended up Shooting AWESOME just like the Original, Over the last few Years I decided to Replace my Aluminum Molds with ...

THIS. I assume the moulds are still ultrasonically cleaned of all machining coolant. All I've ever had to do with any of Tom's moulds was put the handles on, put a faint smear of synthetic two-cycle premix oil on the bottom of the sprue plate, and start casting.
"Tom" is a nickname I use, my real name is Larry. Since that nickname is synonymous with Accurate Molds, they continued using it. They've had a steep learning curve and a few growing pains, but I'm sure you'll get a satisfactory response if you keep trying.
One other thing that I like is my Accurate mold has no trough between the 2 sprue plate holes. I am really impressed with the quality of this mold. While I will continue to buy MP Molds for handgun bullets due to their ability to cast hollowpoints, any rifle bullet molds from here on out will be made by Accurate Molds. Thanks for listening. Don
All 8 of my molds are aluminum from Accurate - work fine. I do have a totally worn out Lee 40sw mold and had Micheal's Lee 30/30 mold - it worked OK too. I did get one with the valley between sprue holes, don't like it.
All Accurate molds are CNC lathe bored. This method makes a more “as cast” round bullet. Lee molds are also CNC lathe bored...just more pointed options. I raelly like their Harris designs, especially 160gr version. This bullet shoots best in my Remington 700 VS 308 with worn NATO chamber
I'm fixin to order me another Accurate Mold here real soon. I'm going to try the H&G 68 clone since my NOE H&G 130 clone won't run in my gun. 01-05-2012, 10:36 PM #5
It was an Accurate Mold so the hollowpoint was not to be. It probably isn't a good thing for my wallet that I know which custom mold makers make which options. I've asked myself quietly in a dark room just how many bullets styles/weights do I really need and do I really need another mold.
