Kim Bok-man (Korean: 김복만; Hanja: 金福萬, [1] (3 December 1934 – 14 August 2021), Father of South East Asia Taekwon-Do was an early pioneer of taekwondo in the 1950s and 1960s in South East Asia, particularly Vietnam, Brunei, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Sarawak and Hong Kong.

Taekwon-Do Instructor. Years active. 1991–2010. Julia Margaret Cross MBE is a 7th degree black belt in ITF Taekwon-Do and a martial arts instructor. She is a six-time ITF Taekwon-Do World Champion and 15 time European Champion. [2] Julia Cross is the only person, male or female, ever to achieve six world titles in ITF Taekwon-Do.
In many martial arts, black belts are often worn for all dan grades. In others, different colors are used, with the highest grade (10th dan ) sometimes wearing a red belt in some systems. In Jūdo, 6th to 8th dan may wear a red and white-patterned belt, and 9th dan and above may wear a solid red belt.
Founder Haeng Ung Lee received his first degree black belt in 1954, [6] and began teaching taekwondo to Korean army members. [7] He then opened a school near a U.S. Air Force base near Seoul and began teaching American servicemen, including an officer named Richard Reed.
Sell became the first female promoted to 7th degree black belt in the World Chung Do Kwan Association by her instructor, Park Hae-man, who is currently a 9th degree black belt, and the head of the Kukkiwon, and the World Chung Do Kwan Association, as well as obtain her Kukkiwon 7th degree credentials from the World Taekwondo Federation.
