Interstate 93 (I-93) is an Interstate Highway in the New England states of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont in the United States. Spanning approximately 190 miles (310 km) along a north–south axis, it is one of three primary Interstate Highways located entirely within New England; the other two are I-89 and I-91.
Franconia Notch (elev. 1,950 feet/590 m) is a major mountain pass through the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Dominated by Cannon Mountain to the west and Mount Lafayette to the east, it lies principally within Franconia Notch State Park and is traversed by the Franconia Notch Parkway (Interstate 93 and U.S. Route 3).
I-93 continues the southeast direction of travel to Manchester, New Hampshire. New Hampshire Route 101 is freeway standard from I-93 in Manchester eastward to Interstate 95 near Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. The I-89/I-93 interchange near Concord is less than 15 miles (24 km) northwest of NH-101.
