The Volkswagen T-Roc is a Subcompact crossover SUV [8] [9] manufactured by German automaker Volkswagen. It was unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show , and launched in November 2017. It is based on the Volkswagen Group MQB A1 platform , and generally has been considered as the SUV equivalent of the C-segment Golf .
The T-Roc R was released in March 2019. [6] It is the first SUV tuned by Volkswagen R. The T-Roc R shares the all-wheel drive powertrain from the Golf R, including the engine which is a turbocharged 300 PS (296 bhp; 221 kW) 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic.
