His last game of his Career was at the Sydney Cricket Ground in the 1986 Reserve Grade Semi Final for Manly against the North Sydney Bears where Manly lost 36–20. At the end of the 1986 season he decided to Retire due to a mixture of falling out of love and interest with the game and wanting to focus on his School-teaching career and his family.

The Reserve team defeated Picola United in the Second Semi Final, but were defeated by Picola United two weeks later in the Grand Final on a miserable day. The A Grade netball team won back-to-back premierships.

The club's most successful year at the University Games was in 1995, winning a bronze medal by defeating Monash University in Darwin.
