Scottish Citylink [1] is a long-distance express coach operator in Scotland and Ireland (where it operates as Irish Citylink) and formerly England (where it operated as Stansted Citylink). The company was formed as a subsidiary of Scottish Transport Group in March 1985.

Stagecoach arrived in the west of Scotland when it purchased Western Scottish Omnibuses Ltd of Kilmarnock for £6 million in July 1994. Western Scottish was, at that time, owned by its management and employees, who had purchased the company from the state-owned Scottish Bus Group in October 1991 on the breakup and privatisation of that concern. Two of these services allow onward connections with Citylink route 918 from Fort William to Oban. Stagecoach North Scotland route 11 runs every 30 minutes between Inverness city centre and Inverness Airport. The bus leaves from Strothers Lane, just around the corner from the station. Journey time to the airport is 25 minutes.
Scottish Citylink runs buses from Edinburgh to places such as Stirling, Perth and Glasgow (900 Edinburgh–Glasgow), and Megabus operates budget services between Edinburgh and Glasgow and London. Edinburgh Bus Station is located on St Andrew Square in the city, but is not used by local services.
A connection to Edinburgh Airport is also be available. The full launch is expected to be on the 22nd of October 2024, with 20 services per day running 24/7. The launch of this route will mean the doubling of the frequency from Dundee to Edinburgh, with 40 buses per day providing a half hourly frequency at most times of day. [ 14 ]
The route is operated under the Scottish Citylink brand, using vehicles supplied by Stagecoach West Scotland and Park's of Hamilton. [5] [6] The 900 operates every 15 minutes during the day, every 30 minutes in the evening, and hourly overnight. [7]
Uig is also served by the local 57A and 57C buses from Portree and Trotternish, and daily Scottish Citylink buses, service 915 and 916, which travel from Glasgow via Fort William and Kyle of Lochalsh.
